Synopsis:
Ordered to relax by his doctor, stressed businessman Hugh (Geoff Dolan) and family arrive in their camper at a deserted beach for a quiet holiday. The calm is broken when Heke (Pete Smith) and his family pull up and park right next door! Hughs had enough and Heke draws a line in the sand. It seems that centuries later nothing much has changed in regard to the ownership of land in New Zealand. Neither High nor Heke however have any control over their women, their kids, or their dogs, none of whom care about their dads war. When theyre ordered by both their wives to catch dinner, logistics force the two embattled husbands together. They seem to be getting along, but when they snag the same fish, its Heke, the Maori, who claims his fishing rights. Their new friendship is now short lived, until Heke realises its not about the fish!

Ordered by his doctor to relax, Hugh and family arrive in their camper at a deserted beach for a quiet holiday. The calm is broken when Heke and his family pull up and park right by Hugh. This brings Hugh and Heke at war, but not the rest of their families. Their wives order them to go fish for dinner, forcing the two husbands to calm down, but not for long. They both snag the same fish and an argument ensues over fishing rights. Filmed at Matauri Bay and Te Ngaere Bay of Northland.
