Synopsis:

Some creationists believe (and they've taught this in British schools) that humans and dinosaurs walked the earth together. That must be the version where God knocked it all out in six days and put His feet up on Sunday - because if the man-eating dinos in this exceedingly silly action adventure are anything to go by, they would have made mincemeat of us in no time. It's set in the Congolese jungle where a British explorer (a cross between Indiana Jones and Ranulph Fiennes, played by Richard Dillane) has arrived to investigate sightings of Africa's answer to the Loch Ness monster.? What he finds is a colony of angry dinosaurs up for a rumble. His teenage son has snuck along as a stowaway (and sports a remarkably resilient boyband haircut). Director Sid Bennett is a CGI whizz and does a better job animating his dinosaurs (there are some terrific killer bat-like critters) than his actors. Irritatingly, though, it's shot as 'found-footage' - like 'Cloverfield' - complete with nodding-dog camerawork.

Found footage of an expedition into the Congo jungle where a team of explorers stumbles upon a colony of Dinosaurs. Set in the deepest, wildest throngs of the African jungle, The Dinosaur Project is an ambitious quest by a team of western explorers, hoping to find a water creature, whose origins are rooted in myth and fantasy. The head of the expedition, an Indiana Jones type, has his plans for a successful trip spoiled though, after his helicopter is brought down by a flock of strange enormous birds and to add to his troubles, he also has to look after his stowaway son Luke. Luke is the film's main narrator; with an arsenal of personal cameras at his disposal, the young techno-geek captures every minute of this project, which becomes a lesson in survival. The team quickly discover all is not well in the jungle, and encounter some extraordinary creatures, which civilization has presumed extinct for millions of years!

And the world thought that dinosaurs were extinct... Brace yourself for a chilling ride into the heart of the Congo jungle, as an expedition accompanied by a film crew discovers that creatures thought to have been extinct for 65 million years are very much alive. The Dinosaur Project is a stunning live action adventure thriller with breathtaking visual effects.
