Synopsis:

In an imaginary village of the Galicia region, between 1934 and 1936, there are raging conflicts between four families and Cayetano Salgado, the tyran owner of the fishing fleet and of the shipyard. These families suffer from the agony of traditional fishing confronted to take off of the canning industry. All their fights and intrigues take place with the historical background of the Spanish Civil War.

The story revolves around an intellectual and a businessman, their families and their lives after the Spanish civil war. Shows the displacement of one social class by the other.

A gem of Spanish literature very good translated to TV.
