Synopsis:

Le Paradis des bêtes is a realistic tale, the story of a family adventure where love and forgiveness finally overcome suffering and violence. At the end of the day, there is the hope that those who have reached rock bottom can bounce back. Dominique is a domineering and possessive father who runs a pet store with his sister: Pet Paradise. When his already abusive relationship with his wife Cathy spins out of control, he flees with their children Clarisse and Ferdinand. Ensconced in a luxurious ski resort on the other side of the border, he creates a fantasy world to win back his kids, who nonetheless love him unconditionally.

Dominique, an overwhelming and possessive father, runs a big pet shop 'Le Paradis des Bêtes' with his sister. He is a violent person, and when he goes beyond the point of no return in his relationship with his wife Cathy, he runs away with their children, Clarisse and Ferdinand. He goes across the border and takes refuge in a big hotel in an up-market winter sports resort. While there he tries to create a world of illusion to win back his son and daughter… who love him unconditionally.

Dominique, a formidable and possessive father, manages a large pet store, the Paradis des Bêtes, with his sister. A violent man, he one day goes too far in his relationship with his wife Cathy, and then flees with their children Clarisse and Ferdinand. He takes refuge with them in a fancy hotel in chic ski resort on the other side of the border. Here he tries to construct a world of illusion, so as to win back his daughter and son, who, as it so happens, love him unconditionally in spite of everything.
