Synopsis:

Join OutKast's Andre 3000 at the CLASS OF 3000. Sunny Bridges left his hometown of Atlanta to pursue a career in music 10 years ago. Since then, he has won a total of 27 Grammy Awards and a Nobel Peace Prize and has sold out concerts all over the world. But despite the fame, Sunny is left feeling like something is missing. Eventually, it just becomes too much for Sunny, and he unexpectedly steps out of the spotlight, literally, and returns to his hometown for some quiet reflection. There, he steps into the lives of a diverse group of kids as their music teacher in an attempt to get back to his roots and reconnect with what he loves most about music. Naturally, Sunny is reluctant about being a music teacher at his alma mater until he sees the kids passion for music, something he used to see in himself. In addition to serving as co-creator and co-executive producer, Andre "3000" Benjamin provides his voice to the character of Sunny Bridges. Benjamin will also contribute an original song to every episode, each accompanied by a music video directed by some of the most respected art directors in the industry, including Alan Bodner (Iron Giant); Overton Lloyd, known for his work on album covers for Parliament; and Peter Chung (on Flux).

Sunny Bridges (or just Sunny) is among the biggest music stars of his time. However, he grew sick of the commercialism and fame that came with his craft, and longed to 'follow the music' again. To find it, he traveled to his childhood neighborhood, 'A-Town', and stumbled upon the First-Year Music Class of the Westley Performing Arts Academy. The class consists of the overconfident drummer Li'l D who longs to be like Sunny, the sassy, brash and violent harpist Tamika, the geeky and 'out-there' bass player Philly Phil, the ultra-rich and somewhat spoiled horn playing Eddie, the Asian twin percussionists Kim and Kam who are polar opposites of each other, and the vacantly happy violinist Madison. Sunny is impressed with their musical talents and decides to become their music teacher when the old one is sent away...to jail. Now, Sunny's musical tutelage mixes with this 'Class of 3000''s own unique artistic spirit to create some very weird situations!

It's Sunny's first day as a music teacher, and the Class of 3000 is ready to learn. Sunny proceeds to teach them how to "break down the walls of convention to free creativity"-or use their imaginations to give their songs feeling. Class ends a little too soon for Sunny, and he doesn't get to pass on the whole of his lesson. Principal Luna arrives and gives Sunny a literal mountain of paperwork to do, while another teacher informs Sunny of his duty-to direct the school's annual "Peanut Pageant". The pageant raises money for the school's budget, but Sunny is too swamped...
