Trailer Tricky Women 2007 (2006)
During Artist in Residency in Vienna (October and November 2005, in cooperation with the quartier21/MQ Wien) Alina Bliumis worked on a trailer for the Tricky Women-Festival 2007.

Blue, Karma, Tiger (2006)
An animated documentary about graffiti that repaints the world with many shades and materials. The spraypainters leave their mark on walls, tunnels and trains but we rarely see the person behind the painted name. In this film we meet three girls who tell us why they paint.

NAP (2006)
A mother tries to take a nap, while her child tries to wake her up. So she pretends to be dead. But, after a while, she still hasn't woken up.

Fat Fatal (2005)
In a fitness club, many people are on a desperate mission to lose weight. Once they have slimmed down, they are able to squeeze through a small hole and leave the club. A man cannot bear the pressure when his friend leaves the club and breaks down the wall, which is in fact, is full of holes. Beyond the wall, he witnesses a sight that he had never expected. You might imagine this is a reality TV show based on losing weight, but the moral of this film seems to mock the need for such desperate measures. However, the last scene presents a slight misunderstanding with regards to traditional Asian culture. We just have to keep in mind that Japan is not the sports heaven for the obese.

Gugug (2006)
They must come from somewhere, all the children. Maybe from the stream, as little Olga says. Or the belly, as a boy explains to her while she sits on the bank, keeping her eyes peeled for a little sister floating on the waves.... An old woman reminisces about her childhood and her experience of the circumstances involved with giving birth in the early 20s. Memories appear like flotsam and jetsam on an unregulated narrative stream, mingle with short-lived visual or acoustic stimuli-and then become hazy. Starting with her grandmother's stories, Sabine Groschup's animation film, Gugug, breaks down the theme of taking shape in an allusive ensemble of forms, sounds and narratives. Similarly to the nervously pulsing brushstrokes and fields of color, and the excitedly twitching notes of a saxophone, the old woman's voice over, spoken in a broad Austrian dialect, is part of an arrangement in which suggestion and intuition, imagination and reminiscence come together and flow apart in an intoxicating composition. Through the spontaneous gesture with which the drawing was made directly on the strip of 35mm film and in the spirit of free jazz, Gugug both playfully and precisely transforms the element that provides meaning in a fragmentary way into a sensory impression which moves smoothly and without interruption.

It´s a film about the societys blind craving for progress and effectivity and the double-working women.

The Girl with Short Hair (2006)
A little girl has to 'prove' she's a girl to some boys at a party. Recounting the episode to her mother, we discover that a five-year olds' logic can bring about hilarious results. Winner of Tricky Women's '3 months Artist in residence' award 2007.

Tragic Story with Happy Ending (2006)
A girl has a heart that beats faster than normal and so loudly that it disturbs the neighbors and their dogs. They complain, and she explains that she has a bird's heart and that she thinks she's a bird trapped in a girl's body. They scoff and she flees, but she later calms down and returns home. As time passes the neighbors get used to the noise and eventually forget about it. And as everyone goes about their routine lives, the girl accepts her differences and becomes comfortable with herself, leading to an unusual transformation, and leaving the neighbors and their dogs to envy her.
