Synopsis:

Following Dark Season, Russell T. Davies scripted this darkly inventive thriller series for Aunty Beeb back in 1993. Century Falls is a backwater village where the locals are most unfriendly and seemingly childless. When Tess arrives with her pregnant mother, the populace cast a suspicious eye on the new arrivals. However, they aren't the only newcomers. Twins, Ben and Carey Naismith have returned after their exile at the hands of the villagers. These two have much to show Tess, regarding the sinister happenings of Century Falls and its terrifying past...

When teenager Tess Hunter (Catherine Sanderson) arrives with her pregnant mother in the town of Century Falls, she finds the town strange and the locals suspicious. With very few children around, she soon latches on to twins Ben (Simon Fenton) and Cairey (Emma Jane Lavin), who have recently returned from exile, and who soon let her in on the strange secret of Century Falls. 40 years ago the townsfolk tried to conjure up a demon, with disastrous results. Even worse, they have plans to try the dark ritual again - and only Tess can stop them.

40 years ago, the town conjured up a demon (Century) with disastrous results. Now they are about to conjure the demon again and are making the same mistakes all over again (some people never learn). Teenage Tess Hunter learns the truth and tries to stop a second disaster.
