Synopsis:

After a staggeringly successful second series, the multi-award winning comedy phenomenon Mrs Brown's Boys is back. Brendan O'Carroll and his family bring us six uproarious new episodes following the lives of the nation's favourite Mammy and her boys. The third series sees Agnes and her family feeling the effects of the recession. Rory and Dino can't afford a place to live, Mark and Betty might be forced to emigrate to Australia and Agnes' kitchen is falling to pieces. But never one to let life get her down, Agnes handles all these problems in her own inimitable and hilarious way. And anyway, as she often says - everything always turns out the way it's supposed to.

Agnes is feeling left behind by the permissive society as Cathy and Betty discuss sex and even Winnie seems to be getting it once a year. After failing to receive a Valentine card yet again she tries on-line dating but ends up with Dial-a-Dick,an escort agency. She arranges a date but gets stood up and is unimpressed by Dermot's romantic gesture for Maria and Grandad's gift of flowers. Fortunately Dial-a-Dick does end up by delivering.

The show is based on O'Carroll's stage plays about the character Agnes Browne, which were developed from books and straight-to-DVD films. The sitcom continues the stories of Agnes, now with the shortened surname "Brown", and her family who are played by real life close friends and family of O'Carroll's.
