Synopsis:
Martin Kemp stars as serial killer George Joseph Smith in this made-for-TV crime drama based on a true story. In order to accumulate wealth Smith commits bigamy under various pseudonyms and kills three of his wives between 1910 and 1915. He tries to make it look as though the women died by accidentally drowning in their bathtubs but the deaths are eventually linked with Detective Inspector Arthur Neil (Alan Mckenna) working to solve the case.

Dramatisation of one of the United Kingdom's most notorious serial murderers of the 20th century, George Joseph Smith. Smith assumed a number of identities in order to carry out bigamy and, driven by a desire for wealth, murder his wives during a period of five years from 1910.

Dramatisation of the real-life case of George Joseph Smith who was hanged in 1915 for the murder of his three wives, each of whom he killed in turn by drowning them in the bath while trying to make the deaths look like accidents.
