Synopsis:

A self-centred, pampered celebrity accepts a drunken bet that will change his outlook on life. On his funny and heart-warming journey around the coastline of Ireland, he meets a series of bizarre characters, falls for a feisty radio reporter and takes his fridge surfing. Written by Tony Hawks and based on his worldwide bestseller, this comedy road movie proves that, no matter how gloomy things seem, open the fridge door and a little light comes on. Tony takes the lead role and is joined by a stellar cast of comedians including Sean Hughes, Ed Byrne and Josie Lawrence.

The movie tells the story of a disillusioned television personality whose career has stalled and who is looking for answers but doesn't know the questions. When his best friend taunts him for losing his sense of adventure Tony accepts a drunken £100 bet and sets off with his unconventional traveling companion for an adventure that proved to be entertaining, educational, challenging and at times downright silly.

In 1997, comedian Tony Hawks hitchhiked around Ireland with a small refrigerator in tow. Along the way, the appliance ended up making as many friends as its human companion. In this quirky, lighthearted comedy, Hawks recreates his eccentric cross country trek - revealing just how much fun can be had when we shed our inhibitions, and decide to live life to its fullest.
