Synopsis:
Based on the novel by Nobel Prize winner Patrick White, THE EYE OF THE STORM is a savage exploration of family relationships and the sharp undercurrents of love and hate, comedy and tragedy, which define them. When Elizabeth Hunter (Charlotte Rampling) has a stroke, her son and daughter (Oscar Award Winner Geoffrey Rush and Academy Award nominee Judy Davis) fly across the world to be at her bedside sparking the family's old frictions and resentments. They struggle to come to terms with who they are, what they mean to each other and finally, how they can best survive to find peace in their lives - their own, eye of the storm.

Elizabeth Hunter controls all in her life - society, her staff, her children; but the once great beauty will now determine her most defiant act as she chooses her time to die.
