Synopsis:

A psychological thriller that explores the intimacy between two women through their connection with food and sex. Amy is a vivacious, calculating chef who uses food as a tool to control intimacy. Her domain is her kitchen, wherein she lovingly and obsessively prepares endless exquisite meals for her new fiance. But the intensity of her need to control strains their relationship and pushes him into the arms of a mistress. Saffron is an alluring star battling anorexia. Their intense relationship builds to an explosive climax as their emotional connection to food and sex boils over.

Amy (Heather Graham), a vivacious and beautiful gourmet chef, uses food as a tool to dominate, be desired and control intimacy. In stark contrast to Amy, her introverted neighbor Saffron (Carrie-Anne Moss) is a former child star who is sad, lonely and unable to experience intimacy. Amy senses the vulnerability of Saffron and uses her prowess in the kitchen to psychologically and sexually dominate her through their shared connection with food, eating disorders and sex. In a battle of wills, one woman overflows with illusions and fearlessly faces life while the other withdraws from everything and fearlessly faces death.

The lives of two female neighbors intersect when their individual obsessions begin to unravel.
