Synopsis:
While clashes between demonstrators and police are raging in the streets of Tokyo, a young man takes refuge at his policeman brother's house. The two brothers will soon come to blows, but the intervention of the policeman's wife will prove decisive, as it will lead to the death of her husband by his own gun. The young man and the wife cover up the murder by making it look like a suicide. They become lovers and flee to the northern, least explored part of the country, as if they were being pursued by the ghost of the murdered husband, their sexual passion, and the pulse of the changing times. He tries to persuade her to continue to run away with him, but she suffers from a sense of guilt and thinks about nothing but dying. After realising that she can't die, she gradually opens her mind to him, and they start to love each other. And near a lake, they believe that they have created their own world...

Sahei, activist in the student movement, runs away from the confrontation with the riot police in the riot at Shinjuku. He goes back home and there quarrels with his elder brother, who is a policeman. In their fight, his brother's pistol fires and the brother falls. Sahei and Yuri, his brother's wife, run away by train northwards. He tries to persuade her to continue to run away with him, but she suffers from a sense of guilt and thinks about nothing but dying. After realising that she can't die, she gradually opens her mind to him, and they start to love each other. And near a lake, they believe that they have created their own world...

By showing the struggle of classes, the fight for liberation and autonomy, the overthrow of dictatorship and all systems of oppression, by inspiring non-conformist thought and questioning the politics of identity, they have too often encountered all kinds of censorship and called subversive/dangerous. Characters and real people guilty only of loving too much, bursting in political revolt and showing acts of resistance. These are not just films, but true life songs.
