Synopsis:

Lace (1984)
A young actress, thought to be easy and have no morals, gathers three former school chums to find out which is her mother. Much of the movie takes place in flashback and the identity of her mother is not found out till the last few minutes.

While in the first part, Lili searched for her mother, she now questions her mom on the identity of her father.

Lace II (1985)
In this sequel to the mini-series, Lily must now find her father to save her newly found mother. Her mother, Judy went to Asia to interview the head of a revolutionary force. When she gets there, she is told that she was brought there so that they could ask for a million dollars ransom. Lily doesn't have that kind of money, so along with her mother's friends, Pagan and Maxine must find her father and ask him for the ransom. Her mother wrote three romans a clef about the man who's Lily's father. So each goes off to see the men that are depicted in Judy's stories.

Lace is an American television two-part miniseries, based on the novel of the same name by author Shirley Conran. The series aired on ABC from February 26-27, 1984. The plot concerns the search by sex symbol Lili (Phoebe Cates) for her natural mother, who surrendered her for adoption as a newborn. Lace was one of the highest-rated television movies of the 1983-84 television season.
