Synopsis:

Created by Czech director and animator Zdenek Miler in 1956, Krtek, or The Mole in English, was an international hit with children. Because the cartoons were presented with no dialogue, Krtek was held to no national boundaries. Milers daughter voiced the noises and grunts that Krtek made, and gave Miler the feedback from a child's perspective he needed to keep his stories focus on his young fans.

The Mole And The Music
Krtek is a music-lover. One day, the mole's favorite record gets broken. He doesn't just sit and mope: his friends, birds and mice, help him to find a new one. Krtek sets out to make a new record from scratch!
The Mole In A Zoo
Krtek gets to a zoo, where he experiences many adventures with the animals there. In the end, Krtek makes friends with the strong lion as he relieves him of his toothache.
The Mole And The Green Star
While doing spring cleaning, Krtek finds a small green piece of glass. He wants to put it into the sky among the stars. It is not easy, but in the end, he succeeds, and the green star starts to shine in the sky.
The Mole As A Painter
Krtek finds a set of colors and paints the fur and feathers of all animals. Together, they frighten a bad fox so that he runs away.
The Mole And The Car
Krtek would like to have a car after seeing how useful it is. But how to get one? Eventually, his wish gets fulfilled when a spoiled boy throws away a broken toy car. Krtek repairs it, and his dream comes true.
The Mole And The Hedgehog
With the help of his friend the mouse, Krtek saves a hedgehog from a school biology department. The hedgehog returns their help when he hides his friends from a big cat.
The Mole And The Chewing Gum
Krtek digs his way up into the middle of a camper's mess- discarded paper, cans, bottles, etc. But he finds some chewing gum, and he chews happily... until it's time to get rid of the gum. Then he gets stuck everywhere. He cannot get rid of it, although all animals try to help him. In the end, the confirmed ruminant- the cow- sets him free.
The Mole And The Bulldozer
Krtek has troubles with a huge bulldozer that endangers his garden.
The Mole As A Photographer
Krtek is absolutely entranced with the camera his friend the mouse has, so he trades the mouse for the camera and sets out to take pictures of his forest friends. At a frog wedding, the frogs are especially difficult because they keep doing chorus lines! When Krtek accidentally backs up too far and falls off a hill, breaking his camera and almost getting hurt himself, he must resort to drawing portraits instead.

The Mole (in the Czech original called Krtek) is an animated character in a series of cartoons, created by Czech animator Zdenek Miler in 1956.
