With the help of art restorer Kate Mark, he sets out to prove his innocence using a list of names handed to the dying priest. Mark and Kate discover a connection to the mysterious house 'The Pale Horse', and its three eccentric women who claim to be witches.
Sparkling Cyanide (2003)
Spectacular modern day adaptation of Agatha Christie's classic murder mystery, set in the glamorous world of wealth, politics and sport. An elderly husband and wife are unlikely looking secret agents brought in to investigate the murder of a powerful soccer club manager's beautiful trophy wife at a glitzy champagne event. As the case progresses it transpires that the dead woman was having a secret affair with a high profile government minister, and with the list of suspects ever growing it's a race against time to find the killer before they strike again. Starring Pauline Collins, Kenneth Cranham and James Wilby.
Death on the Nile (2004)
While on their honeymoon in Egypt, newlyweds Simon Doyle and Linett Ridgeway are constantly harassed by Simon's ex-fiancée Jackie De Bellefort who feels her ex-best friend has stolen the love of her life. A holidaying Hercules Poirot counsels Jackie to put an end to her antics, fearing that all of this can only end in tragedy. When one of the passengers is killed while on a cruise down the Nile, Poirot must sift through an odd assortment of passengers, all of whom may have something to hide. There is Linett's financial advisor from the US, her French maid who clearly has something to hide, the Austrian doctor who keeps mostly to himself and the left leaning philosopher who despises the rich.
Seven Dials Mystery (1981)
When Gerry Wade sleeps in and is late for breakfast, his friends find that he has a very good reason - he's been murdered. Lady Eileen Brent, known to her friends as Bundle and in whose bed Wade died, returns home and decides to investigate. When a second man is killed, he mentions something about " ...seven dials...tell Jimmy Thesiger..." but Thesiger has no idea what he was talking about. What they learn is of the existence of a secret society and of a hugely valuable formula for making a specialized form of steel. But who exactly is behind the two murders and why were they killed?
