Synopsis:

Xabi visits the hospital to bid farewell to Maria, a friend on her deathbed due to an incurable heart condition. Before going in to see her, he discovers she's always been secretly in love with him, and comes up with the mad idea of saying that he feels the same in an effort to make "her last hours a little sweeter". Maria is so overjoyed that she makes a spectacular recovery. Xabi will have to continue pretending, because it would kill her to learn the truth: the doctors warn him that an upset would break her heart. What no-one knows is that Xabi already has a girlfriend who is expecting his baby. Xabi will lead double life, always on the edge of the precipice.

The story of Xavi, Lukas and Jone three long-time buddies in Bilbao whose friend Maria is terminally ill. When Xavi learns from Jone that Maria used to have a crush on him, he decides to cheer up her day by telling her that, back in the good old days, that feeling was mutual but he was too shy to tell her. This being a comedy of errors, Maria tells him she still feels this way and then miraculously starts to feel better, with the doctor predicting she'll live another two or three months. As a result, Xavi finds himself pushed into a relationship he wasn't planning on having but feels like he can't tell her that because of her condition (any big shock might be fatal), even though he has a pregnant girlfriend back in Barcelona...

An economist Basque (Gorka Ochoa) based in Barcelona becomes embroiled in a difficult emotional dilemma between his girlfriend (Bárbara Goenaga), who is pregnant, and a childhood friend (Sara Cozar), heart condition, which is declared by compassion convinced that he would die. The problem arises when the patient makes a miraculous recovery and he is forced to pretend he loves her.
