Relaxation / La détente (2011)
In a trench during the first world war, a French soldier becomes paralyzed with fear. His mind disconnects from reality and escapes to a world where wars are fought by toys.

Three Dots / Trois petits points (2010)
A nice little girl tries to mend the world destroyed by the specter of war.

Lien / Link (2010)
African couple is separated by the First World War.

So Close / De si près (2009)
In a park, a grandfather is dreaming quietly sitting on a bench. Behind his apparent serenity, the old man is haunted by images of the Great War: battles, killings, blasts... Mr Gerbier came close to dying three times. But today, death is waiting for him. It might be sitting on the next bench...

The Day of Glory… / Le jour de gloire… (2007)
A soldier hides at the bottom of an underground. Outside, the war shakes the ground, and the soldier prepares himself with the inescapable. In this film, in this stop motion animated film, the bodies of the soldiers become again matter, alloy of ground, fire and steel, curdled in death for eternity.

Poppy (2009)
In Poppy two Kiwi soldiers discover a baby in a muddy WWI trench. For Paddy it will lead to redemption amidst the hell of war. From a David Coyle script - based on his great-grandfather's war story - Poppy was another successful computer-animation collaboration between producer Paul Swadel and director James Cunningham (Infection, Delf). CGI evokes a bleak Western Front landscape on which the (motion-captured) human drama unfolds. Cunningham spent over 4500 hours making Poppy; the result was acclaim at Siggraph, and invites to Telluride and SXSW festivals.

The Trenches / La tranchée (2010)
A young man is preparing to fight at the front. On the battlefield and in the depths of the trenches, the recruits are dreading the order to attack. It's World War I. At the signal, the recruit leaps into a hell of fire and blood where the earth engulfs both the living and the dead. The short animated film The Trenches is an intense cinematic experience, an anti-war statement created through archival images that are masterfully contemporized by filmmaker Claude Cloutier's India ink and brush artistry.

Women's Letters / Lettres de femmes (2013)
On the battle fields of the First World War, the nurse Simon patches up the shattered faces of the infantrymen with love letters. These words from beloved women have the power to heal the wounds of these paper soldiers. Simon himself seems immune to injury. Untouched by the attacks and unblemished in his white uniform. So what's his secret? His wartime pen friend who occupies his thoughts every spare moment he has. Knowing that she is out of harm's way but standing behind him gives him the necessary strength to confront the daily horrors and death that war throws at him. But when death happens where it is least expected it, can these words on paper still ease the pain?

War Game (2001)
War Game follows the story of three young men involved in the, historically true, football game played between German and English troops in No Man's Land on Christmas day 1914.
