Synopsis:

On the day of her 11th birthday, Angeliki jumps from the balcony of her family home, falling to her death with a smile on her face. While the police and social services investigate the reason for this apparent suicide, Angeliki s family keep insisting that it was a tragic accident. As the truth unfolds, the bonds in the family are horrifyingly exposed and shattered. Masterfully directed by Alexandros Avranas, the film was widely acclaimed at the Venice Film Festival, winning Best Director and Best Actor (Themis Panou).

On her birthday, 11-year-old Angeliki jumps off the balcony to her death with a smile on her face. An investigation is started as to the reason for this apparent suicide, but the family keeps insisting that it was an accident.
