Synopsis:

For a while now, the relationship between Marcel and Bob has been hovering between friendship and dependence: all too often they reach the bottom of the bottle together, drowning in the melancholy of their everyday existence. They come up with a plan to end their lives simultaneously, should that ever prove necessary. It may be a jokey project, but as we know, the fool tells the truth as he laughs. Niels van Koevorden and Sabine Lubbe Bakker show once more, in Ne Me Quitte Pas, that laughing and crying are never far apart. A tragicomic docudrama about a hopeless situation in which the only gripe is a fellow sufferer.

Ne Me Quitte Pas is a tragicomic ode to failure. Set in the Belgian countryside, Bob (Flemish) and Marcel (Walloon) share their solitude, sense of humor and craving for alcohol. It is a story about mortality in a place where time seems to stand still.
