Synopsis:
All six episodes from the first series of the BBC sitcom set in the town of Hebburn in Tyne and Wear. Having left his home town for the bright lights of Manchester, Jack Pearson (Chris Ramsey) decides it's time to bring his new wife Sarah (Kimberley Nixon), who happens to be Jewish, home to meet his parents Joe and Pauline (Jim Moir and Gina McKee) and the rest of his family. The only trouble is, Jack's parents don't know that he's married (courtesy of a drunken binge in Las Vegas). With his mother going all out to impress with her newly acquired knowledge of Judaism, Jack's intention of keeping his marriage a secret soon hangs in the balance when a trip to the local, Swayze's, threatens to bring proceedings to a head.

Set in Hebburn in Tyne and Wear, this series follows the Pearson family, Joe, Pauline and their son Jack, who secretly married a middle-class Jewish girl, Sarah, in a drunken binge in LV.
