Synopsis:
The film is about the conflict between town and country, and about the culture and way of being in post-war Norway. Gunvor Smikkstugun got a job in a factory in the city and come home to the village to visit, a little too proud and cocky towards girls at home. They are envious of Gunvor. But the film is a comedy form with Alf Prøysens irony and distinctive humor. He even joined as a kind of narrator and singer in the film.
