Synopsis:

Injured rodeo champion H.D Dalton (Scott Glenn) returns home to an abandoned family farm. Learning that his old girlfriend Julie (Kate Capshaw) has become a widowed mother and that his sister Cheryl (Tess Harper) has put their father Jesse (Ben Johnson) into a nursing home, H.D is determined to turn things around and return to the saddle to ride one last rodeo and save the farm. Also featuring Garry Busey, Balthazar Getty, Mickey Rooney and from the director of all-time classic Cool Hand Luke, My Heroes Have Always Been Cowboys is an inspiring ride into the heart of the modern west.
