Synopsis:
Frankenstein (2004)
Another adaption of Mary Shelley's novel about a scientist who brings life to a creature fashioned from corpses and various body parts.
The Hound of the Baskervilles (2002)
In this chilling BBC adaption of Conan Doyle's classic Sherlock Holmes novel, the wealthy Baskerville family is tormented by a ravenous beast which appears to lurk on the moors. Sherlock Holmes (Richard Roxburgh) and Dr. Watson (Ian Hart) are called in to unravel a mysterious curse that has plagued the Baskerville family for generations in this thrilling BBC production of one of the brilliant detective's most famous cases. When Sir Charles Baskerville is found dead, his heir, Sir Henry (Matt Day), begs Holmes to save him from the terrifying supernatural hound that has brought fear and death to his household.
Dracula (2006)
Lord Holmwood (Dan Stevens) is due to marry his sweetheart, Lucy (Sophia Myles), but hides a terrible secret - he has syphilis, so cannot consummate the marriage without infecting his bride. His determination to find a cure leads him to a legendary being with extraordinary powers - Count Dracula (Marc Warren). It's not long before he realises what a terrible evil he's unleashed, and has to call on the vampire scholar, Abraham Van Helsing (David Suchet) to help him rid the world of his nemesis.

Frankenstein (2004)
Kevin Connor directs William Hurt, Donald Sutherland, and Julie Delpy in this adaptation of Mary Shelley's Frankenstein. The film follows the storyline of the book closely. Dr. Victor Frankenstein creates a man from the parts of different corpses, and the creature turns out to be superior to his creator in many ways -- but the creation turns on the creator when the world is unable to recognize the creation's humanity.
The Hound of the Baskervilles (2002)
Richard Roxburgh, best known as the libidinous nobleman in the 2001 theatrical feature Moulin Rouge, is cast as The Great Detective, with Ian Hart as Holmes' friend, assistant and chronicler Dr. John Watson. The game is afoot when Holmes and Watson head to gloomy Baskerville Manor near the forbidding Grimpen Moor, the new home of young Sir Henry Baskerville (Matt Day). A number of curious events have led the detectives to the conclusion that Sir Henry's life is in danger -- that, in fact, he may at any time be torn asunder by a gigantic, vicious hound. Is this the fulfillment of "The Baskerville Curse," brought about by villainous debauchery of Sir Henry's ancestor, or is the would-be murderer a human being, using the legend of the Hound as a smoke-screen? Taking quite a few liberties with the original, The Hound of the Baskervilles was a nonetheless entertaining "shorthand" version of the Doyle classic.
Dracula (2006)
The Romanian count known as Dracula is summoned to London by Arthur Holmwood, a young Lord who is one the verge of being wed. Unknown to Arthur's future bride Lucy, her future husband is infected with syphilis and therefore cannot consummate their future marriage. Arthur has laid his hopes on being cured by the enigmatic count, as it is said that Dracula has extraordinary powers. However, these supernatural powers have sinister origins, since the Count is a vampire. Soon Arthur realizes his serious mistake as all hell breaks loose and the Count infects others with his ancient curse. Fortunately, Dracula has not counted on the young Lord acquiring the assistance of the Dutch Vampire expert. Prof. Abraham Van Helsing.
