Synopsis:

The fourth and final part of the touching family saga by Rosamunde Pilcher is about the Aird family's personal misfortunes and business turbulences. The Balmerinos and Alexa have to take care of little Tom, after his mother died from childbirth complications. But Hamish Balmerino has to cope with not only the death of his sister, but is also jealous of Laura's new friendship with the author Jake Hooper. Hamish supported the sale of Jake's first novel. Olivia Thorpe, who started an affair with Noel, feels inwardly torn that on one hand, they will enjoy this to the fullest, but on the other hand they will not betray the Aird family who has so warmly received them. When she learns by accident that Noel lies to her and pursues his own goals, she separates from him. But Noel does not even hesitate to blackmail Olivia.

The Airds go back for centuries and are inexorably entwined with the history of the estate.
