The Conqueror Worm (1968)

This conflict distracts people from rational thought and allows unscrupulous men to gain local power by exploiting village superstitions. One of these men is Matthew Hopkins, who tours the land offering his services as a persecutor of witches. Aided by his sadistic accomplice John Stearne, he travels from city to city and wrenches confessions from "witches" in order to line his pockets and gain sexual favors. When Hopkins persecutes a priest, he incurs the wrath of Richard Marshall, who is engaged to the priest's niece. Risking treason by leaving his military duties, Marshall relentlessly pursues the evil Hopkins and his minion Stearne.

Edward's son Harry returns home after graduating in the university with Father Tom that is assigned to the local parish and he is surprised with the behavior of his father and brothers. Edward hunts down the witch Oona (Elizabeth Bergner) and her harmless followers and kills many of them. Oona summons Satan seeking revenge against Edward and the Whitman family. Satan's emissary surprisingly is Roderick, who has power to control animals and was born by fire. Will Roderick be capable to harm his foster family?
The Mummy Lives (1993)
In the name of profits, the tomb is opened. In the name of vengeance, the curse springs alive. From ancient ashes and mummified wrappings a mysterious being arises and becomes flesh. "I am the protector of the dead," he intones. But he will do more than play Grim Reaper to mortals who defy the tomb's sanctity. He wants to reclaim the woman he loves. Past and present converge with terrifying results in this gripping tale inspired by horror master Edgar Allan Poe's Some Words with a Mummy. Tony Curtis plays Dr. Mohassid, a reincarnated soul whose undying love has deadly consequences. Since his arrival, venemous serpents writhe, phantoms stalk and a certain young woman's nightmares erupt into even more frightful days. The tomb is open. Enter at your own risk!

The Raven (1963)
In this tongue-in-cheek movie inspired by Poe's poem, Dr. Craven is the son of a great sorcerer (now dead) who was once himself quite skilled at that profession, but has since abandoned it. One evening, a cowardly fool of a magician named Bedlo comes to Craven for help - the evil Scarabus has turned him into a raven and he needs someone to change him back. He also tells the reluctant wizard that Craven's long-lost wife Lenore, whom he loved greatly and thought dead, is living with the despised Scarabus.
Murders in the Rue Morgue (1971)
In 19th-century Paris, theater impresario Cesar Charron (Jason Robards) is preparing a gruesome stage version of "The Murders in the Rue Morgue" by Edgar Allan Poe. The creepy production has given his wife, Madeleine (Christine Kaufmann), horrible nightmares. They prove to be an ominous prediction of the future when Cesar's actors start turning up dead. Cesar suspects that the murders are the work of his nemesis, René Marot (Adolfo Celi). The only problem with his theory is that Marot is dead.
