Synopsis:

Italy, 20th century. Fascism is a gigantic theatre set, which, suddenly, collapses. After fascism another set is erected, the Republic to guarantee the reconstruction. After the reconstruction, progress, thanks to the Christian Democracy. Then the revolt explodes, men, women and the young assess all options around which to channel rights and needs. And the fall, towards the conformism of mass civilization. The epilogue regards everything and everyone, until the void unveiled by the case of the P2 lodge, which starts a new phase in the history of the Republic. This set intertwines with the real set, the theatre one, which in these years is mainly the theatre of directors, such as Visconti, Strehler, Trionfo, Squarzina, Enriquez and Scaparro. And this desire, or ambition, is what Maschere Crude deals with.
