Synopsis:

Un giorno di regno, ossia il finto Stanislao is an operatic melodramma giocoso in two acts by Giuseppe Verdi to an Italian libretto written in 1818 by Felice Romani. Verdi's opera 'Un Giorno di Regno' recorded live in the Teatro Regio di Parma on 19 December 1997. Sung in Italian, with subtitles in Italian, English, French and Spanish. The cast includes Paolo Coni, Alfonso Antoniozzi, Anna Caterina Antonacci and Cecilia Gasdia, with chorus and orchestra conducted by Maurizio Benini.

Belfiore realises that he can take advantage of the powers that he has been temporarily gifted with on the blessing of Stanislas, and has the ability to make some royal commands and appointments that will sort out the business between Giuletta and Edoardo. As for his own romantic situation, well, he can only hope that his "reign" will end in time for him to reveal his true identity and claim the hand of the Marquise.
