Synopsis:
The Teatro Regio di Torino mounted this elaborate stage production of Giacomo Puccini's four-act opera Manon Lescaut on February 1, 1985. It stars Maria Chiara in the title role, Nicola Martinucci as Il Cavaliere Renato des Grieux and Mario Ferrara as Edmondo. Carlo Maestrini directs, while the Orchestra and Chorus of the Teatro Regio di Torino, under the baton of Angelo Campori, lend added musical accompaniment. Fulvio Fogliazza serves as chorus master.

Recorded live in the Teatro Regio di Torino, Italy on 1 February 1985. Sung in Italian, with subtitles in Italian, English, French, Spanish and Japanese. With the Orchestra and Chorus of the Teatro Regio di Torino conducted by Angelo Campori.
