Synopsis:

The story of Shadow, the descendant of a horse killed during a catastrophic rescue operation, is depicted in a comic book drawn by Kai's mother. The book is also about her, her partner Erik, and about Kai's birth. But following a terrible argument, Kai witnesses his mother's accidental death, an event that for years fills him with remorse. Years later Erik runs a farm where young people come for riding holidays. For Kai, the arrival of Lisa will change everything.

During a riding vacation on the island Ameland, a young girl discovers a dangerous horse who distrust people. To prove that the horse isn't dangerous at all the girl secretly trains the horse to trust humans again.
