Synopsis:

The lonely and alcoholic Erik (played by director Danny Thykær himself) spends most of his time sitting alone in the park, playing backgammon, when one day he gets an unexpected visit from the girl Maya who attends a nearby school. With the pieces lined up, a sort of friendship begins on each side of the board, but the ghosts of the past interferes with life's difficult game. 'Backgammon' is a touching, but also uplifting little tale about a man who all too rarely has rolled double six. There is fine acting across the board - and especially the girl Maya is convincing.

Mid thirties Erik makes a living playing Backgammon in the local park. He is about to get thrown out of his residence, when a young girl approaches him in the park. She changes his life, while he tries to fight the demons from his past.
