Synopsis:
In 1960-61, before the old quarter of Montparnasse disappeared, Jean-Marie Drot took his camera and shares the testimonies of the last "sacred monsters" of the great epoch of the warm hours of Montparnasse. The artists who founded the Western art of the 20th century appeared in turn, resurrected by the magic of the audiovisual industry. Among these illustrious Cubists, Dadaists and Surrealists, we listen and admire Man Ray, Giacometti, Delaunay, Cocteau, Brassaï, Poulenc, Foujita, Duchamp, Masson, Cendrars, Miro, Triolet, Aragon, Kessel, To name but a few of the hundred and fifty . The volume 1 includes the following 7 films: Ils s'en venaient de l'Oural et du Mississipi; Petite chronique du Montparnasse pendant la guerre 14-18; Enquête sur la vie, l'œuvre et le destin de Modigliani; La bande à Man Ray; La fureur de vivre des années 20; Pascin, l'oublié; La voix des poètes
