Synopsis:
Unorthodox cop Detective Sergeant Jim Bergerac of Jersey's Bureau des Étrangers might have one of the most scenic beats, but it doesn't make fighting crime any easier. Powering along in his Triumph sports car, Jim hits the trail of the island's murderers, fraudsters and big-time thieves in more all action cases.

This series finds him still in his long-term relationship with Susan Young, though Jim's dedication to the job is causing difficulties and the return of his admirer, the glamorous jewel thief Phillippa Vale doesn't help either. And, there's still no escaping his ex father-in-law, Charlie Hungerford who seems to have influence with both the Jersey criminal fraternity and the local police.

Set Comprises:

1. Whatever Lola Wants: Bergerac and his colleague Crozier are assigned to look after Reggie, a convict who has turned supergrass, when he and his mother, Lola, arrive on the island to stay in a "safe" house.

2.Crossed Swords: Jim ends up with a murder to investigate, when members of two feuding families decide to settle their differences with an old-fashioned duel.

3. A Horse of a Different Colour: A valuable stud race-horse has disappeared and a ransom is demanded. Jim is sure that there is something more behind the theft, then, Phillipa Vale, out on parole, decides to give Jim some unwanted help

4. Burnt: Bergerac's investigations into a Tycoon suspected of insider share dealing leads him to the island of Sark - and danger.

5. The Sin of Forgiveness: A Nazi hunter and a woman who has recently lost her father throw a shadow over Charlie Hungerford's Jersey International Music Festival.

6. A Man of Sorrows: When a dead body is found in an empty cottage on Jersey, Jim Bergerac is sent to London, where he is caught up in a tangled web of drug dealing and corrupt police.

7. Private Flight: Bergerac's career is put at risk when he tries to help his ex-father-in-law Charlie Hungerford and becomes a potential victim of a blackmailer and his gang.

8. Retirement Plan (Christmas Special): With his father-in-law Charlie in trouble with extortioners on the Costa del Sol, Bergerac flies out to help him . Meanwhile, back home, the police have their hands full chasing French thieves and Bergerac's girlfriend life is in mortal danger.
