| Synopsis: | Paris-based director Steve Faigenbaum left his native Detroit in the 80's never expecting to return. His father's passing brought him back to a city he barely recognized. He'd heard stories of how the car industry was suffering. But nothing prepared him for the vision of the apocalypse he found. Thousands of burned-out homes littered the landscape. Nature had reclaimed empty space the size of Paris. Just what had happened? His film City of Dreams searches for the answers in a seamless mix of home movies, historical never-before seen television footage and tours of contemporary Detroit.
