Synopsis:
Sun and Baleno. Federico Aldovrandi. Katiuscia Favero. Giuseppe Uva. Stefano Cucchi. Five dramatic stories that have shocked Italy since 1998, causing public opinion to be discussed and divided. If the victim was in state custody, finding a culprit becomes complex, doubts creep in, evidence and testimonies are hard to find. Everyone talks about it, everyone takes sides, the truth seems to be moving away more and more. With an artist's sensibility, Rosso Fiorentino wanted to look at that truth straight in the eye and felt the urgency to communicate it, without filters. Dragging the viewer into the facts leaves the final judgment to him. Between realism and symbolism, between reality and transfiguration, Sons as we are placed in the cinema scene as a necessary and no longer postponable work, to give voice to those who can no longer tell his story. Because there is no worse killer of silence.
