Synopsis:
De Occulta Philosophia is a film about the process of creating baroque music, from the wood that the luthier will transform into a future harpsichord, through rehearsals by the group The Reverence, to see how that music disappears in the eyes of a woman. De Occulta Philosophia tries to explore the mystery (or the abyss) between silence and sound, music and cinema, rehearsal and staging, a note and the emotion that emerges from it. A path from the material to the immaterial. The group led by Andrés Alberto Gómez performs in Liétor, a town in Albacete whose Churches have unique acoustics in Spain thanks to their peculiar construction, an extraordinary repertoire of German Baroque (Buxtehude, Tunder, Becker and Bach), as well as compositions by Couperin and Monteverdi.
