Synopsis:

Billy the Kid: Lucky is hired to escort wanted adolescent Billy the Kid from Texas to stand trial in New Mexico. Clumsy rowdy Malloy was hired to free Billy, but rather causes physical danger, mostly for himself and bystanders, worse then Rantanplan. When Luke gets his job done, the result is most disappointing. The Dalton's Stash: Transferred to a new penitentiary, the Daltons are put in a cell with Fennimore Buttercup, a counterfeiter who soon begins to regret having such noisy cellmates... The Escort: Four years after the great clash between Lucky Luke and Billy the Kid resulting in a 1200+ year prison sentence for Billy, Luke is asked to escort Billy to New Mexico to face trial for the crimes he committed there. However, Billy's enduring reputation and his repeated attempts at escape - mostly with the inept assistance of felon Bert Malloy - offer Luke and Jolly Jumper their fair share of excitement on the way. Phil Wire: In the town of Bottleneck Gulch is the only saloon for miles around, the "Ace of Spades" which belongs to a crook, O'Sullivan, who sells adulterated whiskey. But as it is the only bar in the area, "Ace of Spades" does good business thanks to thirsty cowboys passing by. But one day, a certain O'Hara opens his own "Ace of Hearts" saloon... In the Shadow of the Derricks: After the discovery of oil at Titusville, there is a rush of people getting there. Lucky Luke is appointed Sheriff and has to face Barry Blunt, a megalomaniac lawyer ...
