Synopsis:

Utterly free of Hollywood glamour, Whore 2 is a combination of drama and documentary footage that strives to create an accurate portrait of the lives led by street prostitutes in New York. Free of all the usual clichés, the film succeeds in what it is attempting to accomplish, and although it has a very low budget demeanor, it is an admirable work. The narrative concerns an author who sets himself up in a hotel used by hookers and then proceeds to pass money around, persuading the women to sit for interviews instead of performing their usual services. He eventually develops a friendship with two of the women. Although actresses are used for the principal parts, the interviews, scattered through the film, are with genuine prostitutes, their ravaged complexions, slurred diction and makeshift wardrobes being the very antithesis of the images of prostitutes popularized by Hollywood.
