Synopsis:

The series tells the story of the Winny family from Brwinów near Warsaw. It is about love, sacrifice, family ties and betrayal. All the plots are set against the background of the turbulent history of Poland. The action of the series starts shortly before the First World War and ends in modern times. Just before the outbreak of the war, the first twins in the Winny family come into the world: Ania and Mania. The mother of the girls dies in childbirth. The next twins, daughters of Mani, were born on September 1, 1939. Fate does not spare the next generations of the family either, the hard-working ones have to struggle with all the adversities of this world.
