Synopsis:

The wealthy Selby Cliff lives in a medieval castle on the Scottish coast with his much younger wife Anita. There he awaits the arrival of Frank O'Ryan, who wants to buy some of his land from him in Canada, where Cliff himself lived for many years. Little does Cliff suspect that O'Ryan is a childhood sweetheart of his wife, whose feelings for one another flare up again. When mysterious incidents pile up at Lismore Castle - Frank is almost killed by a castle battlement and Anita just barely escapes death - doubts arise about the lord's sincerity. Who else but the jealous husband would be behind these insidious attacks? When a curious crime writer shows up in the castle to do research for his new book, there is increasing evidence that Selby Cliff is not who he claims to be ...
