Synopsis:

The complete box set of the Scandinavian crime drama following the joint efforts of Danish and Swedish police officers to solve murders that take place along the border of the two countries. SERIES 1: A woman's body is dumped in the middle of the Oresund Bridge right on the border between Sweden and Denmark. What at first looks like one murder, turns out to be two. The bodies have been brutally cut in half at the waist and put together to form a single corpse. Detectives from Denmark and Sweden are forced to work together to solve this spectacular double murder and the wave of violence that follows. The quirky characters and fast-paced twisting plot ensure this latest Scandinavian crime drama is richly satisfying viewing from start to finish. SERIES 2: Thirteen months after the events of the first season, a coastal tanker leaves the Oresund waterway and is headed straight for the Oresund Bridge. When the coast guard boards the ship they discover there is no crew--only five youths chained below deck, cold and exhausted. Saga Noren, of Malmo County Police is put in charge of the case and contacts Martin Rohde, who is still dealing with the death of his son. Together they embark on a race against the clock to prevent a disaster where many lives are at stake... SERIES 3: When a famous Danish gender activist and owner of Copenhagen's first gender-neutral children's nursery is found murdered in Malmo, Saga is assigned to the case, together with a new colleague. The murder sparks the beginning of a series of spectacular crimes reaching back into Saga's own past. With her career at risk and the question of personal responsibility haunting her, it looks as if she might be pulled from the case. When her mother unexpectedly re-enters her life, Saga must also cope with unforeseen--and unwanted--demands from her. SERIES 4: Set two years after the conclusion of Series 3; Saga Noren is released from prison, while Henrik Sabroe investigates the murder of the director general of the Immigration Service, Margarethe Thormond, who has been stoned to death. Two more victims are discovered and Saga realises that each victim is killed using one method of executing prisoners sentenced to death--suggesting a total of seven victims, leaving four to come. She also notes that the victims are selected not because of their actions but because of something their loved ones have done.
