Synopsis:

Fifteen-year-old Nathan and his parents have recently moved to a small country town in Louisiana. There he is drawn into a homosexual relationship with seventeen-year-old Roy. Within this religious community, the breaking of taboos leads to violence.

A shy adolescent male in the deep South who attempts to escape domestic abuse by developing a relationship with the boy next door.

Based on the novel by Jim Grimsley, 'Dream Boy' chronicles the relationship between two gay teenagers in the rural south in the late 70's.
