Synopsis:
Red Hair: François Lepic has to write a composition on the theme of 'family' - nothing more simple than that. Little François Lepic, who is only called 'Red Head', has his problems with this task though. His mother maltreats and scolds his all the time, his older siblings make fun of him and his father seems not to care about him at all. Be it a piece of melon or just a smile, his mother refuses it to him. The Agony Of Jerusalem: Marc Verdier, a former professor and devout catholic, lives in Jerusalem near the Mount of Olives, with his crippled wife and Septime, his eccentric brother. On his part,Jean-Louis, Marc's son is in Paris where he continues his studies. Or so he thinks, for, in actual fact, he is the leader of a dangerous anarchist network hiding under the code name of Sirias... The Marriage Of Mademoiselle Beulemans: The daughter of a Brussels restaurant proprietor prefers the company of a young man from Paris to that of her compatriots. The Whirlwind Of Paris: An opera singer,restless in her marriage to an elderly Scottish lord, longs to return to the limelight of the stage in Paris. The Mystery of the Eiffel Tower: One of two circus twins is cheated of an inheritance by his double, who sets himself up in a chateau.Only to be threatened by a sinister black hooded sect. Rollicking adventures follow, culminating with a big chase on the Eiffel Tower. The Divine Cruise: A wealthy man sends his crew sailing on an old tub ;The men realize there's money to be made with the alcohol they transport.The ship sinks but the shipowner's daughter, who is in love with the captain of the missing boat, go in search of the lost crew survivors with a handful of sailor men.God Himself intervenes and 'shows the way' across the 'way of gold' . The Miraculous Life Of Thérèse Martin: The story of Sainte Thérèse De Lisieux aka De L'Enfant Jesus; her short life in her convent, her moments of doubt and fear, her sufferings and her death of tuberculosis. Maman Colibri: Baroness Irène de Rysbergue, neglected by her gloomy husband, is preparing for the ball. Admiring her feather-trimmed dress, her young son nicknames her 'Maman Colibri'. To The Delight Of The Ladies: Denise, an orphaned girl, moves to Paris where she hopes to find work at her uncle's store. But the glamorous department store 'Aux Bonheur des Dames' across the street crunches all the little businesses around. She finds a position there.
