Synopsis:
Drama set in Victorian North East England. Young Millie Forester is abandoned by her mother as she flees the law, and the child is rescued by Raggie Aggie. Aggie knows the dangers facing such a pretty girl left alone in the vice-ridden Newcastle streets. Millie makes friends with Aggie's lodger Ben, but the trio live in constant fear of the local pimp Slim Boswell, who will stop at nothing to get his hands on Millie.
