Synopsis:

A Road trip, a Romance, and a Not So Dead Body. Al McCord is hanging out at his favorite restaurant when he meets an attractive young woman (Ellie) who is looking for a ride from the city out into the Mojave Desert, where her mother lives. Little does he know that while Ellie is falling in love with him, he is falling for her mother (Julie), despite the nearby presence of Julie's boyfriend who seems likely to go berserk at any moment. Even more strange, hilarious events follow and it's up to Al to find some explanation. His life may never again be the same.

Danny Aiello plays Al McCord suffering from a nasty mid life crisis even his brand new car can't help him pull chicks. Imagine his astonishment when a beautiful young woman (Angelina Jolie) singles him out from all his friends and starts coming on strong coincidentally she needs a ride out to the Mojave Desert, where her mother lives! Little does he know that she's falling in love with him as he's falling for her mother, Julie (Anne Archer). Julie's psychotic boyfriend menaces Al who's caught in the middle of a dangerous love triangle. When the trunk of his car serves as a temporary morgue it's up to Al to find some explanation. His life may never be the same again. An average middle-aged guy finds himself in an extraordinarily weird situation in this off-beat romantic adventure that begins when 53-year-old car salesman Al goes to a local coffee shop with his friends and ends up escorting voluptuous oversexed jailbait Ellie back to the desert trailer she shares with her mom Julie and her brutal psycho boyfriend Boyd. While Boyd and Ellie take off for a while, Al ends up dancing in the moonlight with sweetly seductive Julie. The moon that night is extraordinarily large and the two end up falling asleep. Eventually Al awakens and tries to go home, but unfortunately, his car will not start. Julie then informs him that most cars have trouble starting there. Still he manages to leave. Stopping at a filling station, he is appalled to discover that someone has stuffed a corpse in his trunk. That turns out to be only the least of his troubles.

Danny Aiello stars as Al McCord, a nice guy who stumbles into a weekend of wacky intrigue when he impulsively gives Ellie (Angelina Jolie) a ride from Los Angeles to the Mojave Desert. Al never expects Ellie to fall in love with him, nor does he expect to fall for her mother Julie (Anne Archer)! When Julie's lunatic boyfriend Boyd (Michael Biehn) shows up, Al gets more action than he ever counted on. Caught in a hilarious web of bizarre events that can only be explained by the bewitching way of the Mojave Moon, Al's life and loves will never be the same.
