Synopsis:
He's the disheveled detective, dismissed by his suspects as an erratic pest, but little do they know this keen investigator is lulling them into a false sense of security. His rumpled trenchcoat, bumbling speech, chomped cigar, battered Peugeot 403 convertible and lazy Basset Hound, simply named "Dog", all help paint a portrait of a cop out of his depth, but we know it's just a matter of time before the evidence is revealed to ensure criminal conviction. Voted as one of the top TV detectives of all time, Columbo solves L.A.'s most puzzling crimes which involve him cooking up a storm with a celebrity chef, on the playing field after an unscrupulous team manager, stitching up a surgeon who has committed the cleverest of murders and treading the boards on the London stage. And now COLUMBO arrives in HD with the entire second season of movie-length crimes beautifully REMASTERED from the original negatives. Join Peter Falk with a dazzling lineup of guest stars including Robert Culp, Leonard Nimoy, Martin Landau, Honor Blackman, Anne Baxter, Valerie Harper, Ray Milland, Anne Francis, Dean Stockwell and many more. EPISODES ETUDE IN BLACK THE GREENHOUSE JUNGLE THE MOST CRUCIAL GAME DAGGER OF THE MIND REQUIEM FOR A FALLING STAR A STITCH IN CRIME THE MOST DANGEROUS MATCH DOUBLE SHOCK

When you first saw him, Lieutenant Columbo looked like a bum that just came off the street. He had a bumbling demeanor, was overly polite and seemed to chomp on the same short cigar on a daily basis. However, beneath all that comical exterior was probably the most dogged investigator in the Los Angeles Police Department. Columbo was often called on to investigate high profile murders that involved the rich and famous. The culprits were often amused by him, and just as they thought they were going to get away with murder, Columbo would find a way to trap them or find enough evidence to make them confess.
