Synopsis: | He was probably the most gifted of Hitler's executioners. Joseph Goebbels understood better than anyone the art of manipulating the masses in order to gain support for Hitler's terrible plans. His enormous thirst for power was unprecedented. Less is known about the character of Goebbels. A gentleman to the outside world but steeped in barbaric ideas. This documentary will give you an idea of his brilliant but poisonous mind. Passages from his diaries from 1942 to 1945 are, as it were, quoted by Goebbels himself: how he experienced his first meeting with Hitler and what he really thought about his colleagues such as Goering and Himmler. Impressive and unique film images from German television and film archives illustrate his anti-Semitic and world-destroying words.
