Synopsis:

The lessons of Italian painting were not insignificant in the artistic training of Van Dyck, perhaps the greatest portrait painter in the history of European art. In his early days, in all his important works, we can see the influence of Rubens, whose artistic career he followed: from London to Genoa, and to Rome.
