Synopsis:
Framed by former President Abraham Lincoln's famous Gettysburg address, this documentary takes a hard look at the battle of Gettysburg from the perspective of the soldiers on either side of the Civil War. The no-nonsense approach to the material emphasizes the sacrifices made by both the Union and Confederate armies who made up the 50,000 people who died during the 3-day battle that forever changed the course of the United States.

Gettysburg showcases the horror of the pivotal 1863 Battle of Gettysburg by following the stories of eight men as they put their lives on the line to fight for what they believed in.

An examination of the Battle of Gettysberg on both the personal and strategic level.
