Synopsis:
Welcome to romance, betrayal and adventure in the spellbinding saga of gallant Captain Ross Poldark (Robin Ellis) and his ever-changing fortunes on the ruggedly beautiful Cornish coast. Enjoy the complete series from Poldark's return from the American Revolution as a wounded prison escapee, and his earth-shaking discovery that the woman he loves is engaged to viperous man who is determined to drive the Poldarks from their land. You'll relish every turn, including Poldark's tumultuous marriage to Demelza, and the dramatic resolution of the struggles with his predatory rival. A sensation on Masterpiece.

British officer Ross Poldark returns to his native Cornwall after the Revolutionary War after escaping from a war prison. He finds that because he was believed dead, his home has fallen into ruin and his estate has shifted to his mercenary uncle following the death of his father. His uncle has committed to selling the family copper and tin mines to a ruthless local land baron while his former fiancée has agreed to marry his cousin in his absence.
